
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- Cal Fire crews from Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties, along with the Santa Clara County Fire Department, contained a vegetation fire that was a little less than one acre early this morning, according to Cal Fire officials.
The blaze started around 3:15 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Aldo Gonzalez, in the 20400 block of Skyline Boulevard near the border between Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.
The fire was contained around 5:15 a.m. and Gonzalez said he expected fire crews to spend between four and
six hours this morning mopping it up.

Nobody was injured in the blaze and no evacuations were ordered.
