Vivace Youth Summer Opera Camp ages 11-18

Camp will take place Monday - Friday at Stone Church in San Jose

This is the story of a poor instrument maker, whose dog can do amazing tricks and travels to the court. The princess at court is never amused by anything and her courtiers visit the instrument maker, Chip, to ask if they can buy his dog for her.

At its conclusion there will be two performance of Chip and His Dog (by Gian Carlo Menotti) on August 6 and 7 in the evening.

Layna Chianakas, Professor of Voice at SJSU and former Opera San Jose Fellow will direct the production. Music Direction will be by Peggy Spool and Albee Mabeza.
