Police said he pulled up next to a pre-teen girl walking her dog near the intersection of Maysun Court and Harriet Avenue and asked for directions. He got out of his car and approached the girl, still asking for directions, but then grabbed the girl in a bear hug. The girl screamed and fought him off and he got back into his car and drove away.
A witness heard the girlās cries and saw the suspect fleeing north on Harriet Avenue, police said.
