2 San Ramon Valley Unified Schools Get California's Highest Honor
Hidden Hills and Sycamore Valley Elementary Schools were recognized by the California Distinguished Schools Program.
DANVILLE, CA — Two San Ramon Valley Unified School District elementary schools have received the state's highest recognition, a California Distinguished Schools Award. Hidden Hills Elementary in San Ramon and Sycamore Valley Elementary in Danville were two of 323 schools who were recognized by the state Department of Education this year.
Award winners excelled in closing the achievement gap and exceptional student performance, according to a press release from the district.
The program selects elementary schools, and middle and high schools in alternating years, meaning the SRVUSD will hold the awards for two years.
