2 Suspects Wandering In Danville At Night Had Meth, Warrants: DPD

Police said one suspect fled police officers through multiple backyards before he was taken into custody.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville police arrested two men in possession of methamphetamine with outstanding warrants, both of whom were seen wandering through residential neighborhoods in the middle of the night, according to police.

Early Sunday morning, a Danville officer saw a “suspicious” individual cycling through a residential area, according to a Danville Police Department social media post. The officer attempted to stop the man, who reportedly left his bike, and fled on foot via numerous private backyards. Residents helped the police find him in a nearby creek bed.

The suspect, whose name and information were not disclosed, was found to have an outstanding warrant, and was in possession of methamphetamine, police said.

A little while later, another Danville officer saw another person walking through a different neighborhood. That person was also found to have an outstanding warrant and to be in possession of methamphetamine, police said. Both suspects were taken into custody and are now detained at the Martinez Detention Facility.
