3 New Principals Selected At SRVUSD

New leaders have been selected at Neil Armstrong Elementary, Quail Run Elementary, and Stone Valley Middle School.

DANVILLE, CA — The SRVUSD Board of Trustees approved three new principals at its April 3 meeting.

Karen Johnson will begin serving as principal of Neil Armstrong Elementary School on July 1. Johnson currently serves as assistant principal, and will continue as assistant principal for the rest of the year while Don Loflin, the retired principal of Live Oak Elementary School, will take over as interim principal. Johnson has served two years as assistant principal of Neil Armstrong, where she helped implement the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

"Ms. Johnson is a compassionate and student-centered leader, and a thoughtful listener. As a strong advocate for all students, she will be an excellent fit as the new principal of Neil Armstrong," SRVUSD Superintendent CJ Cammack said in a letter to families.
