Alamo Tree Lit For Holiday Season (Photos)

The Christmas season officially arrived in Alamo Sunday evening. Hundreds of parents and children gathered at 4:30 in the Andrew H. Young park to visit Santa and see the Alamo Tree lit up for the Holiday Season.

Santa’s stand-in Bill Randall posed with hundreds of children as they whispered their Christmas list to him.

The Rotary Club of Alamo was ready with 10 gallons of hot cocoa and 5 gallons of cider on hand.

Rotary Exchange student Julio Caballero Bollinger from Bolivia, as Santa’s helper, was on hand to give out candy canes. Julio is a student this year at Monte Vista High school.
