• 'Gilmore Girls' Festival Coming To Danville (patch.com) — Danville's downtown will transform into a Stars Hollow-style setting this October as it hosts Flannel & Foliage, a Gilmore Girls-themed festival with cast panels, trivia, music, and artisan markets. Key Danville venues like the Village Theatre and Hap Magee Ranch Park will anchor the festivities, which town leaders hope will become an annual fall tradition supporting local businesses.
   

• Mobilizing Hope for Bolivia (thelaurelmagazine.com) — A Danville-based nonprofit, the Wheelchair Foundation, is partnering with Rotary clubs to send 270 wheelchairs to communities in Bolivia. With $28,000 in local fundraising to be matched by the foundation, the effort will cover shipping and long-distance transport over the Andes, and volunteers are invited to travel to Bolivia to help distribute the chairs and witness the impact firsthand.
