DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Unified School District was named a California Honor Roll District, and 12 SRVUSD schools were named California Honor Roll Schools.
SRVUSD is one of 168 districts recognized statewide, and the only district in the Tri-Valley recognized. The award recognizes top public schools, school districts, and charter schools that have outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps, particularly among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations, according to the Educational Results Partnership, a non-profit that administers the awards.
The California Honor roll recognizes schools and districts for academic achievement based on three years of standardized test results in English language arts and mathematics. To qualify, schools and districts must outperform comparable districts on at least 80% of applicable measures, including results for students from different socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, and students receiving special education services.
