Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Making A Difference Award
San Ramon business owner Frank Canova receives the Making A Difference Award for 2018-2019 from Chapter President Susan Angle.

Throughout the years, Assistance League® of Diablo Valley has bestowed the Making A Difference Award to individuals who have made significant behind-the-scenes contributions that further the organization’s ability to support those in our community who are vulnerable. At the April regular meeting, Chapter President Susan Angle presented the Making A Difference Award for 2018-2019 to Frank and Libby Canova for their generous donation, the new cabinet situated behind the cash register at the thrift shop. It has become a topic of animated conversation among donors and shoppers alike.
On hand to accept the award, Frank Canova, San Ramon business owner, stated that initially he did not appreciate the scope of Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s community involvement and was amazed at all the organization does. Mr. Cordova’s closing remarks, “We are happy to do this!”
Ms. Angle concluded the award presentation as she had presented it, with heartfelt thanks. A thunderous applause from member volunteers in attendance amplified the sentiment.
