Assistance League Thrift Shop’s “Christmas in July” Draws Near
Two brave soldiers stand guard! Can you find the third?
‘Twas five months before Christmas, when all through the shop, all items were glistening, right down to the mop! Member volunteers at the Assistance League of Diablo Valley Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, depart from the theory that “Christmas comes but once a year.” To that end, they invite you to attend the annual “Christmas in July” event, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 16, at 9:30 a.m., to be exact, and conclude on Saturday, July 20.
On hand to greet you will be throngs of stuffed holiday creatures bearing gifts of festively adorned wreaths and branches, miniature artificial Christmas trees, colorful ornaments, quilted linens, tablecloths, holiday tableware and candles, placemats and, not to be overlooked, oven mitts. Rolls of gift wrap, Christmas themed puzzles, and a smattering of folk art will prepare you well in advance this holiday season.
