The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, Lafayette, can not believe that the year 2023 has arrived. Why, in a mere 113 days, warm and gentle breezes will waft over the valley. As noteworthy, many of us will seek warmer climes during the ensuing months. How appropriate that these game changers have scheduled a Summer in January event, which begins Tuesday, January 10.

Not limited to men and women’s clothing, this prequel will include shoes, donated jewelry, toys, hardgoods, as well as décor and household items. Prices will range from a mere $5-$30. As always, the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle dynamic prevails. How’s that for a New Year’s Feel Good?

As for finding closet space for your summer acquisitions, that does not have to be a problem. Several days prior to this event, spend ten minutes in your closet to identify any winter items that no longer serve you. This might require more than one session. Quickly remove and bag the items and deliver to the thrift shop (see address in first paragraph) a.s.a.p.
