Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Celebrates “The West”
This year's event promises to be as stunning as last year's.

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop encourage all to “Go West!”—west on Highway 24, that is, until you reach 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette. Travel back to times when rugged individualism and the Westward Movement ushered in a new era.
On Tuesday, February 12, at 10 a.m., stake your claim at the annual Pioneer Days and Western Roundup event. This will be a family opportunity.
Western attire will include hats, shirts, belts, purses, bandannas, vests, jackets, kids chaps and an assortment of men’s, women’s and children’s boots. As in previous years, pioneer outfits will also be available.

Additionally, decorative pieces will include a horseshoe wine rack, metal candleholders, vintage Native American rugs, western art, home goods and a small selection of period books.
Such distinctive jewelry as necklaces, pins/pendants, rings and bracelets made of sterling and enhanced with turquoise, coral, lapis, and abalone will complete the Pioneer Days and Western Roundup event. Not to be overlooked, several vintage pieces, one of them a one-inch-wide bracelet with hand inlaid abalone from the 50’s, will help define this year’s event as stellar.
