Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Readies for "Christmas in July" Event

Member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, ask the very important question: ’’Who ever said that Christmas comes but once a year?” A cursory glance at the thrift shop’s annual Special Events Schedule documents otherwise. At this writing, the summer time elves are uncrating a plethora of Christmas inventory that again promise to grace every shelf, display case and any other available level surface with holiday accoutrements.

On Tuesday, July 21, while festively donned in red shirts, the volunteers will open the doors of the thrift shop at 10 AM to welcome you to this yule tide extravaganza. Visualize garlands enhanced with lights, many of them never used, angels, santas and elves lining your hearth. Likewise, additional garlands entwined with ribbon and candy canes climbing up your stairwell will certainly accentuate the holiday wall art also purchased during this event for a paltry sum. As for the wide selection of ornaments--whether for the tree or table top, you’ll create a scene that springs from the pages of Dickens. Avoid the holiday crowds and frenzy, as well as the summer heat, and enjoy the eye candy that will unfurl before your eyes —visions of sugar plums, indeed!
