Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Takes to the Road!
Take 680 North to North Main St. Exit, go north to Second Avenue, turn left, and drive until you reach Buena Vista Avenue.
The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop at the Way Side Inn, in Lafayette, have forged a “New Normal” in a matter of weeks. August 1 marked the thrift shop’s re-opening, while subsequent months ushered in an increase of days of operation and donation opportunities. Member volunteers and shoppers alike felt as if a significant part of their lives had been restored.
However, other Covid restrictions prompted a spirit of innovation, if not risk-taking, to accommodate an ever increasing and faithful customer base. Member volunteers will CLOSE THE THRIFT SHOP ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 and transport merchandise from the well-known landmark in Lafayette to the Assistance League of Diablo Valley Chapter House, located at 2711 Buena Vista Avenue, in Walnut Creek, where a parking lot SUMMER CLEARANCE SALE will take place on Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These energetic gamechangers won’t let anything rain on their parade! But if it does rain on Saturday, the parking lot sale will take place on Sunday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In any event, the chapter house parking lot will transform to an open air gallery of beautifully displayed merchandise that will await your discerning taste.
