Blog for Danville Patch

Do you always see the humorous side of suburban life? Are you someone who must know what's going on around town? Do you feel like you have a good sense of what people in Danville are talking about? If this describes you, let us know.

Danville Patch is looking for someone to write a new daily blog-style column called "About Town."

We want this column to be the place to go for all the little tidbits that don't end up in the lead spot online.

This feature will be reader-interactive and full of photos, social notes and wry, quirky observations about life in Danville.

You'll get your information by keeping your eyes and ears open around town—at football games, coffee shops, picking kids up from school and walking downtown or on the Iron Horse trail.

You might get inspiration from a neighbor's Facebook status, attending a town event, a tip from a reader or from a flier you saw in town.

Good writing skills and an eye for accuracy are musts. Web savvy and previous blogging experience preferred. Journalism degree not required.
