Stephen Wilkes: America at 250 - Changemaker Speaker Series

Photographer Stephen Wilkes will present America at 250 at the Blackhawk Museum on Thursday, October 8, at 7:00 PM, the second event in the museum's 2026 Changemaker Speaker Series.

Over five decades, Wilkes has documented the planet, capturing cultural milestones, historic tragedies, sweeping landscapes, and everyday scenes. His work has appeared in National Geographic, TIME, Vanity Fair, and other publications.

In America's 250th anniversary year, Wilkes brings that body of work together in a visual retrospective on the people, places, and moments that have shaped the nation across generations. Blending photography, storytelling, and history, the presentation reflects on resilience, innovation, division, and unity.

Thursday, October 8 | Doors @ 6:30 PM | Presentation @ 7:00 PM | Blackhawk Museum
