Chain-Reaction Crash Occurred Outside Alamo Fire Station

The collision stalled traffic on both directions of Stone Valley Road, a main thoroughfare in Alamo.

Alamo, CA— Three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash this afternoon outside a San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District station in unincorporated Contra Costa County, a fire captain said.

The collision occurred around 2 p.m. outside an Alamo fire station at 2100 Stone Valley Road, Fire Capt. James Martin said.

As a fire engine was pulling out of the station and the traffic light at an intersection there was switched to red, a vehicle that had two vehicles ahead of it failed to come to a stop, Martin said.
