Common Sense Kids Action: California Kids Campaign!

Vote For Kids! A voter guide and information for the propositions on the November 2016 ballot that impact kids and families.

As a resident of Danville, parent in the SRVUSD and recent hire as the East Bay Parent Organizer for Common Sense Kids Action, I'm excited to share that yesterday Common Sense Kids Action's California Kids Campaign launched its inaugural Common Sense Voters Guide. With it, this nonpartisan, non-profit organization is providing people with information to help them make informed ballot decisions that will support children and families.

There are 17 statewide propositions on the California ballot this November, making it one of the longest ballots in California history. The state's official voter guide comes in at 224 pages and 10.3 ounces. Common Sense Kids Action voters guide is a free resource for voters understand the meaning of the propositions and to know the groups or individuals behind them.

Initially, we'll be working to help pass the Children's Education and Health Protection Act. Over the long term, we will fight for kid-positive stances like paid family leave, broadband internet for all children, raising the minimum wage, funding for early childhood education and protecting children's online privacy.

Parent Organizers, like myself, have already started planning events, where we will explain the voter guide, answer questions, and activate and grow a network of informed, energized, and engaged parents. If you would like to know more, would like me to speak at your event or share information, feel free to contact me.

With a trusted resource like the @CSKidsAction Voter Guide, voting isn’t only easy, it’s @CommonSense.
