ALAMO, CA – The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District on Friday shared images of an Alamo house fire in which two residents escaped injury.

The home caught fire in Alamo Thursday morning, according to a deputy fire chief, whose crews were alerted after to North Jackson Way incident around 5:30 a.m. after a neighbor saw smoke and flames.

Once on scene, firefighters contained the fire to the attic area above the garage. There was extension into the attic over the living space, but the living space itself only sustained smoke and water damage, according to Deputy Chief Lon Phares. It took roughly 30 minutes to put the fire out.
