Danville Burglary Suspect Nabbed By Pleasanton Police

Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Gary, who police said is a transient​, was arrested Aug. 9 for the July 17 burglary.

DANVILLE, CA — A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary in Danville last month. Christopher Gary, who police said is a transient, was arrested Aug. 9 by Pleasanton police on an outstanding warrant issued by Danville police following the July 17 burglary.

According to Danville police, last month's incident took place around 7:30 a.m. after the homeowner spotted a man who fled the residence with a laptop. Danville police identified the suspect as Gary and put out a warrant for his arrest.

After Pleasanton police made the Aug. 9 arrest, Gary was booked into Santa Rita jail.

Danville Police Chief Allan Shields said the number of commercial and residential burglaries in Town has declined. During the first half of 2019, only 15 such burglaries have been reported, according to Shields.

“We are very fortunate in the San Ramon Valley to have strong relationships, both with our community, and with our fellow law enforcement agencies,” he said. “This has led to a very safe community for our residents.”
