Danville Church To Raise Awareness About Human Trafficking
Gary Haugen, founder of the International Justice Mission, will speak at the Community Presbyterian Church in February.
DANVILLE, CA — A Danville church will host an event intended to raise awareness about human trafficking next month. Lawyer Gary Haugen, founder of the International Justice Mission, will speak at the Community Presbyterian Church during all three weekend services on February 10 and 11. Church organizers say the San Ramon Presbyterian will stream his presentation during their weekend services.
January is National Human Trafficking Awareness month. The International Justice Mission estimates 45 million men, women and children are enslaved worldwide.
"In much of the developing world, people are not safe," said CPC's Lead Pastor Tyler Scott. "The justice systems that should protect them from violence don't. Gary and IJM are helping to bring justice for the world's poor, fighting to secure the most basic human rights for everyone. It’s a privilege for CPC to partner with IJM and to bring Gary to our community."
