Danville Could Get a Townwide Bike Plan
The town estimates it would cost $75,000 to have a consultant draft the plan.
DANVILLE, CA — The Danville Town Council gave the go-ahead for the town to solicit a bicycle master plan from Oakland-based Alta Planning + Design. The firm is not to spend more than $75,000 on the plan.
The Contra Costa Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and Danville 2030 General Plan both address bikes, but a townwide plan would focus on local policies and infrastructure related to bikes, the town wrote in a report to the Mayor and council.
The town submitted a request for proposal on a bike plan Nov. 21 and Alta Planning + Design was one of two bidders. Danville said it determined Alta Planning + Design had better rankings and was more qualified.
