Danville Council To Vote On New Town Manager
The council is poised to approve the contract of Tai Williams, assistant town manager who has worked for Danville since 1996.

DANVILLE, CA — The Danville Town Council will vote to appoint Tai Williams, the current assistant town manager, as town manager at its Tuesday meeting. If the vote goes through, Williams will replace Joe Calabrigo, who will retire June 30 after over 32 years as town manager. The council decided in a closed meeting to appoint Williams, according to a town staff report.
Williams was hired as assistant planner in July 1996, according to the report. Since then, she has served as associate planner, transportation manager, transportation director, community development director, administrative service director, and assistant town manager since July 2017. She lives in Danville with her husband and daughter.
Williams and the town council have agreed on an employment agreement for a $265,000 first year salary. If the vote goes through, she will begin July 1 and serve for two years before being re-evaluated.
