Danville Haunted House Will Have You Shaking in Your Boots
The lights are on every night through Halloween and for a few days after on Merano Street.

Those in need of a healthy dose of fear this Halloween can stop by Merano Street in Danville. Owner Casey Rickey says many of the creepy decorations in the yard are homemade. Rickey has hosted haunted houses on the property for several years.
“All my props including the gates, tombstones, coffins, skeletons, and pretty much anything else you see in the pictures are homemade. The tombstones are carved from foam, then the epitaphs are carved in. The ghost you see in the window in the background is on a mechanism I built, and comes alive when darkness falls.
“Leading up to my front porch is a small Victorian manor style walk-through (with a dining room scene), which visitors can trek through if they’re brave enough to pass the gatekeeper (live actor letting visitors in and out). This is a completely paneled out, roofed walk-through. In the previous years at my old location, I had about six different rooms all in which revolved around the victorian manor theme. This year there will just be a single walk-by scene, but should still be fun and stir up some scares for the whole neighborhood and any other visitors from around the area. And of course, candy will be provided at the door. Full sized candy bars, first come first serve until we run out.
“Lights are on every night, including a few days after Halloween, so people are welcome to drive by and take a peek at the cemetery from their car if they can’t make it out Friday night.”
Fear junkies are invited to visit the spooky house located at 147 Merano Street in Danville.
