Danville Hosting Car Show, Community Wellness Event, Concert: Streets Closed
Downtown Danville streets will close this weekend for a community health event and A Brighter Day Car Show.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville streets will close for three events over the course of Saturday and Sunday, the town announced.
Saturday
On Saturday, Front Street will be closed to through traffic from Village Theatre Municipal Lot and the library/Community Center Parking Lot for the Music in the Park concert and Passport to Wellness event.

“Verve: Passport to Wellness” is a free health and wellness fair that will take place at the Danville Community Center and along Front Street from 3-6 p.m. connecting community members to health care providers, wellness practitioners, fitness professionals, mental health advocates, and more. Visitors will be able to receive health screenings, yoga and meditation sessions, talk to nutrition professionals, view CPR and first aid demonstrations, and more. Music in the Park will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Danville Town Green and feature the Bell Brothers, singer-songwriters from San Francisco who perform Americana, country, and rock music.

Sunday
A Brighter Day Car Show will feature over 250 vintage, muscle, and luxury cars, as well as food trucks and live music. All proceeds will benefit A Brighter Day, a nonprofit supporting teen mental health and suicide prevention. It will take place downtown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The following closures will be in place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
- Hartz Avenue between Diablo Road and School Street
- Prospect Avenue between the Clock Tower Municipal Parking Lot entrance and Front Street
- Short Street to thru traffic
- Church Street east between Hartz Avenue and the Village Theatre Municipal Parking Lot
The Village Theatre Municipal Lot will be closed from 6 to 9 a.m. for vehicle staging, but will reopen afterwards.
