Coroner Identifies Driver In Fatal Danville Crash
Austin Nixon, 22, died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree at Camino Tassajara at Charbray.
DANVILLE, CA — A man killed in a solo-vehicle crash has been identified by the Contra Costa County Coroner's Division as a Danville resident.
Austin Nixon, 22, died after the BMW he was driving crashed into a tree on Camino Tassajara, north of Black Hawk Drive, around 11:27 p.m. Friday night.
Nixon was the only occupant in the vehicle. He was transported by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP is investigating to determine if alcohol and/or drugs were crash factors.
