Danville Mayor Hosts Mental Health Awareness Town Talk Friday

DANVILLE, CA —Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich will join San Ramon Valley Fire Protection Chief Paige Meyer, and other local leaders and experts for an online discussion on mental health resources.

On Friday at 9 a.m., Arnerich will host a monthly Town Talk, which are hosted the first Friday of every month. Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, the talk will focus on improving access to mental health resources, and how the community can access them.

Guests include Shawn Kumagai, district director for Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan; Dr. Nitsa Dimitrakos, clinical director of the Discovery Counseling Center; and Paige Meyer, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection Chief.

Community members are encouraged to join the discussion. Participants can ask questions using the chat feature, or email questions ahead of time to towntalks@danville.ca.gov.
