Danville PD Spring Citizens Academy Registering

Danville residents will be able to learn about local law enforcement topics, like patrol procedures, investigations, and more.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville residents interested in learning more about law enforcement are invited to apply for the Citizens’ Police Academy, which begins April 15.

Danville officers will teach students about a number of topics, including:

  • Parol procedures
  • Traffic enforcement
  • Impaired driving
  • Investigations
  • Crime scene processing
  • Crime prevention
  • Criminal prosecution
  • Driving instruction

Classes are held in-person Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. for six consecutive weeks, including one Saturday session on April 25.

The program is open to Danville residents 18 and over. See here to apply by April 1 at 5 p.m., and send the completed applications to Lindsay Ortiz at lortiz@danville.ca.gov. Call 925-314-3717 with any questions. Applicants will undergo a background check.
