Danville Planning Commission, Parks & Recreation & More Seeking Members
Several local advisory boards are seeking volunteers. Applications are open until November.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville residents interested in serving their community can apply to sit on several commissions and committees starting Jan. 1, 2027.
Applications are due by Nov. 4 at 5 p.m..
Design Review Board: 2 regular positions, 4-year term.
The Design Review Board assists the Town Council and Planning Commission in reviewing and evaluating proposed site design, architecture, signs and landscaping to ensure consistency with the Town’s General Plan, ordinances, and adopted design standards and criteria.

Heritage Resource Commission: 1 regular position (licensed architect), 2-year term. 2 regular positions, 4-year terms.
The Heritage Resource Commission helps establish criteria for identifying historic sites, and developing preservation incentives for property owners.

Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission: 2 regular positions, 2.5 to 3.5-year terms.
The Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission advises the Town Council on acquiring, developing, and maintaining park and recreation facilities, and providing leisure and human service programs for town residents.
Planning Commission: 3 regular positions, 4-year terms.
The Planning Commission recommends a long-term general plan for the physical development of the town, and provides review of all planning and development proposals coming into Danville.
Contra Costa County Mosquito and Vector Control District: 1 regular position, 2 to 4-year term
The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District provides inspection and control for mosquitos, mosquitofish, rats and mice, bees, pests, and more in Contra Costa County.
