Danville Playground Closing For Renovation
The playground at Danville South Park will be closed until the spring for a revamp.

DANVILLE, CA — The playground of Danville South Park closes this week to begin wide-ranging renovations, the town announced. The rest of the park will remain open.
The renovated park is expected to re-open in the spring and will include a new primary play structure designed to support a variety of play styles. It will also include several secondary structures for climbing, balancing, spinning, and swinging accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities, as well as a relocated sand play area.

The town recently celebrated the opening of an updated playground at Diablo Vista Park, which includes updated, nature-inspired equipment like slides, overhead climbers, steppers, instruments, swings, and an electronic pulse table tennis game, as well as shaded seating areas, expanded picnic spaces, outdoor fitness stations, and refreshed landscaping.
