Danville Police Youth Academy Accepting Applicants
Danville teens interested in learning about law enforcement are welcome to join the free, week-long training.
DANVILLE, CA — Registration is open for the Danville Police Department’s Youth Academy, a free summer program that teaches Danville teens about law enforcement and community safety.
The High School Youth Academy will last from July 24-28, and is open to Danville teens ages 15-18. The Junior Youth Academy will take place Saturday, July 21 from 9-2 and is open to children ages 11-14. The Junior Youth Academy is full as of Monday, but anyone still interested can join the waitlist.
The weeklong high school program still has a few spots open. Students will learn about all elements of law enforcement, including search and seizure, traffic stops, K9 demonstrations, DUI enforcement, forensics, and more.
