Danville Schools Named California Distinguished Schools

Five Danville schools were recognized by the California Department of Public Education for superior performance and climate.

DANVILLE, CA — Five Danville schools have been named 2026 California Distinguished Schools by the California Department of Education. The recognition honors public schools that demonstrate strong student outcomes and instruction programs that support academic success for all students.

Schools across the state were selected based on performance indicators including academic achievement, student progress, and school climate measures.

The Danville schools selected were:

  • Charlotte Wood Middle School
  • Diablo Vista Middle School
  • Los Cerros Middle School
  • San Ramon Valley High School
  • Stone Valley Middle School

Historically, all Danville schools have been named as Distinguished Schools. Iron Horse Middle School and Pine Valley Middle School in San Ramon were also named.
