Danville Seeks Entries For Summer Activity Guide Cover Art Contest
Kids 11-17 are invited to submit designs that could be featured on the 2023 summer Recreation, Arts & Community Services Activity Guide.

DANVILLE, Calif. (February 13, 2023): Calling all junior bookworms with an artistic flair: The Town of Danville invites kids age 11 through 17 to submit an illustration for the cover of the 2023 summer Recreation, Arts & Community Services Activity Guide. The summer activity guide cover will focus on stories and books, and illustration submissions should depict a favorite fictional story. The Town is partnering with the Danville Library and Rakestraw Books to promote a summer of reading.

Participants can submit a digital illustration that depicts their favorite place or location in a story along with an explanation on why that location is special to them. The contest is open to students in middle and high school. Submissions must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, February 24.
Once the deadline has passed, all designs will be reviewed by a committee of Town of Danville Staff. The winning design and credit will be on the cover of the Summer Activity Guide which will be mailed out by April 19.
