Danville Teen's Amazing Baking Skills Featured On Popular TV Show

Award-winning kid baker Ryan Wilson demonstrated how to make Christmas tree cupcakes.

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville middle schooler with some incredible baking skills was featured Wednesday morning during a baking segment on The Hallmark Channel’s popular “Home & Family” show. Ryan Wilson, who also celebrated his thirteenth birthday on Dec. 13, taught the crowd how to make festive Christmas tree cupcakes.

Wilson has his own YouTube tutorial channel to demonstrate baking tips provide fun baking tutorials. Recently, Ryan started filming cake tutorials for upcoming movies and television shows for Dreamworks on YouTube.

Ryan, who attends Los Cerros Middle School in Danville, won first place and $10,000 on the Cooking Channel's "Sugar Showdown" in 2016. Ryan said his passion for baking started after he was given an Easy Bake Oven as a gift. He has been baking sweet treats ever since.
