Danville Town Council To Consider Canceling Election
In a special meeting, the Town Council will weigh canceling the November election because the two incumbents are running unopposed.

DANVILLE, CA — No candidates have filed to challenge incumbents Robert Storer and Karen Stepper for the two open seats on the Danville Town Council, so the Town Council will hold a special meeting Aug. 22 to determine the best course of action.
The Town Council can choose to either cancel the election and appoint the two unopposed incumbents, or proceed with the election, per California law. If the election is canceled, the town will save between approximately $64,000 to $96,000, or $2-3 per voter, according to a town statement.
Races are also being held for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board, and seats on numerous other regional boards. Below is a list of declared candidates for the SRVUSD race.
