In May, the Town put a call out to local high school and middle school students to create new designs for the pianos. Several local young artists submitted colored sketches of their original designs and three were chosen. The cow print piano at the Danville Community Center was painted by Lucine B. The piano in front of the Village Theatre & Art Gallery was designed by Elizabeth M. The “Summer of Love” piano in front of the Danville Senior Center was created by Ashley G.

To read more about the artists’ inspiration for these artworks, follow the Recreation, Arts & Community Services Department on Instagram @danvilleparksca. The pianos will be available through September 5, 2022.
