Danville's Music In The Park, Moonlight Movies Begin Soon

Danville is celebrating the summer with a variety of free outdoor concerts and family-friendly movie screenings.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville Loves Summer, and it's showing it through music, movies, and lots of community gatherings.

On June 13, the town will begin offering free weekly entertainment through two summer series: Music in the Park and Moonlight Movies, which will both take place at the Danville Town Green.

The Music in the Park series begins June 13, and will feature live music from 6-8 p.m. on select Saturday evenings. This year's lineup includes country, tribute bands, and pop hits spanning from the 1970s to present. The schedule is:

  • June 13: The Bell Brothers — Country
  • June 27: New Moon on Monday — Duran Duran Tribute Band
  • July 11: Mercy and the Heartbeats — Pop hits from the ’70s to today
  • July 25: Dream Like Taylor — Taylor Swift Tribute Band

The Moonlight Movies series returns Friday, June 19. Friday movies nights begin at 6:30 p.m. with themed games and activities, followed by the movie around 8 p.m. after the sun sets.
