Downtown Danville Streets Closed For Kiwanis Labor Day Parade

Some downtown Danville streets will be closed until 1 p.m. Saturday for the Kiwanis Labor Day weekend parade, police said.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the north end of Hartz Avenue near San Ramon Valley High School, moving down Hartz Avenue, turning south on San Ramon Valley Boulevard and ending near Sycamore Valley Road.

DANVILLE, CA — Some downtown Danville streets will be closed until 1 p.m. Saturday for the Kiwanis Labor Day weekend parade, police said.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the north end of Hartz Avenue near San Ramon Valley High School, moving down Hartz Avenue, turning south on San Ramon Valley Boulevard and ending near Sycamore Valley Road.

Motorists should expect parts of these streets to be closed for the parade. Drivers can use Danville Boulevard from El Cerro Boulevard north and San Ramon Valley Boulevard south of Sycamore Valley Road West, which will be open to through traffic, police said.

More than 60 groups are expected to participate in the parade. The city is encouraging spectators to be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.

Community members are asked to stay home if they are not well or could have been exposed to COVID-19, and watch the parade which will be livestreamed at www.srvkiwanis.org/parade.

• Danville Boulevard between El Cerro Boulevard and Railroad Avenue
• Railroad Avenue between Hartz Avenue and Love Lane
• Love Lane between Railroad Avenue and Verona Avenue
• La Gonda Way between El Cerro Boulevard and Danville Boulevard
• Hartz Avenue between Railroad Avenue and Hartz Way
• San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Hartz Way and Sycamore Valley Road
• Westbound Sycamore Valley Road and Remington Loop between San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Sheri Lane
