Driver Killed In Solo Tree Crash In Danville: DPD
A driver crashed into a tree on Camino Tassajara Friday night, one of several Tri-Valley crashes this weekend.

DANVILLE, CA — A driver was killed Friday night in a solo collision into a tree on Camino Tassajara in Danville, Danville police confirmed.
Danville officers responded to reports of a solo collision into a tree on eastbound Camino Tassajara, east of Messian Place, just before 9 p.m. on Friday night, town spokesperson Jenn Starnes told Patch.
The driver and only occupant of a 2000 Toyota 4Runner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Collision investigators from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Injury and Major Protocol Accident Callout Team (IMPACT) responded to investigate the cause of the collision, which is still under investigation. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending family notification as of Saturday, according to the town.
Eastbound Camino Tassajara between Messian Place and Shady Creek Drive was closed for approximately six hours.

The deadly crash was one of four that took place over the weekend around the Tri-Valley: a Livermore winery owner was killed in a car crash, another driver crashed into a tree on Pleasanton Sunol Road, and a motorcyclist was killed on Mountain House Road in eastern Alameda County.
