Drug Bust on St. Christopher Drive Leads to Four Arrests
A county drug task force found pot, Ecstasy, firearms, bulletproof vests and more in the rental home.

Four people were arrested Thursday after drugs, weapons and about $10,000 in cash were recovered by a county drug task force.
The Contra Costa County Narcotic Enforcement Team served a probation warrant for one person in the house at 244 St. Christopher Dr. at about 11 a.m. Thursday, said Commander Norman Wielsch.
Wielsch said based on evidence of drugs seen in the house, they searched the rest of the house where over 4 pounds of marijuana, hashish, a "Honey Oil converter" used to extract THC from marijuana, 12 marijuana plants, a small amount of cocaine and 20 Ecstasy pills were recovered.

Two bulletproof vests, brass knuckles, 17 firearms ranging from assault weapons, shotguns, to handguns and $10,000 in cash also were recovered.
The 12 marijuana plants were left at the house because three residents had medical marijuana cards, and state law allows plants to be kept in those circumstances.

Two people were selling marijuana out of the home.
One of the bulletproof vests and the brass knuckles belonged to Rob Hayes, 20, who was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a bullet proof vest by a felon, and a felon in possession of a firearm.
Byran Fugate, 32, who had the other bulletproof vest, was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale and being armed in the commission of a felony. Fugate's girlfriend, Andrea Newell, 22, was arrested for the same charges.
Brandon Gunn, 20, was arrested on suspicion of possessing Ecstasy for sale, possessing cocaine and violating probation.
All were transported to the Martinez jail on various bails.
Wielsch said the four were renters and had lived at the house for less than one year.
