Drysdale Foundation's $4000 Donation Brings Sunshine to Children

As a result of Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Program Research and Development Committee’s indefatigable efforts, Operation School Bell’s^® Sunshine Boxes Program originated in 2019. This program now provides shelf stable weekend meals to identified elementary schoolchildren in the Pittsburg Unified School District. Each month, dedicated Sunshine Boxes program member volunteers assemble 400 boxes, each box costing $15. And the good news continues.

On February 9, Sunshine Boxes received a grant of $4,000 from Drysdale Community Foundation, which is funded by donations from individual agents with Berkshire Hathaway Home Financial Services Drysdale Properties. What an expression of their personal commitment to the communities in which they serve! Assistance League of Diablo Valley member volunteer Jackie Griffin and Grants Committee member Ann Livingston accepted the check with profound thanks.
