CHP Schedules DUI Checkpoint In Contra Costa County

Drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs — including some prescription medications — can expect to be arrested.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol announced it will be conducting a DUI checkpoint Friday in an unincorporated area of the county.

The checkpoint will take place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Traffic volume permitting, all vehicles will be checked, and drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs — including some prescription medications — can expect to be arrested, the CHP officials said.

The checkpoint's exact location will not be released before the event.
