Big news is cookin' in downtown Danville: Primos, the neighborhood hangout that's been serving up good times and great food for nearly 50 years, has new owners—Jimmy and Jennifer Jhanda. Even better? They've teamed up with local restaurant powerhouse guru Wes Aziz, who will be running the show as Operating Partner. The Jhanda family—deeply rooted in the Danville community—is stepping in with one goal: keep everything locals love about Primos, while breathing in new life where it counts. Think: the same welcoming vibe, comfort classics on the menu, plus a few fresh twists and surprises coming soon. "Primos is legendary in Danville and has a great soul," said Jimmy Jhanda. "We're not here to change that—we're here to protect it, refresh it, and make sure it's still around for the next 50 years." Jhanda sold and exited his wildly successful tech staffing franchise 12 months ago and retired. One goal during retirement, for both him, and his wife Jennifer was to make an investment in the local Danville community and Primo's checked all the boxes. Great Food. Energized Sports. About the 2027 Lamar Hunt US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup
Did you know that last year San Ramon&nbsp;FC played in the same tournament as the&nbsp;San Jose Earthquakes, Sacramento Republic and many other US&nbsp;professional soccer clubs?
SRFC's men's team seeks to qualify anew for the 2027 Lamar Hunt US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup tournament proper. This is the 112th edition of the US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup.&nbsp;The Cup's open entry process allows for US&nbsp;amateur teams to compete against US&nbsp;professional teams. 
The qualifying process includes 155 amateur clubs in 29 states. Only 16 spots are available in the tournament proper.
SRFC&nbsp;Vies For Another Spot In the Tournament Proper
Last year San&nbsp;Ramon&nbsp;FC's men's senior&nbsp;team made history, becoming the first team in the greater Tri-Valley to earn a spot in any US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup tournament. The team traveled to Phoenix back in March and played a match against USL&nbsp;Championship professional side Phoenix Rising FC.
About the USOC&nbsp;Qualifying Rounds 3 and 4 and Tournament Proper
For each round, the opponents and the home/away teams are decided after the previous round of matches are complete. There is no guarantee SRFC&nbsp;hosts another USOC&nbsp;match in&nbsp;San Ramon,&nbsp;so don't miss this one!
Round One:&nbsp;September 12 - 13 Round Two:&nbsp;October 3 - 4 Round&nbsp;Three:&nbsp;October 31 - November 1 Round Four:&nbsp;November 21 - 22
Teams that win all four rounds will qualify for one of 16 spots in the 2027 US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup tournament proper, which begins play April 13-14, 2027.
