Danville folk artist Iva wilcox will lead you through the steps to create your own underwater world in a small glass and wood display case. In this workshop, you'll construct a three-dimensional under-the-sea scape. You can use the images she provides or bring one of your own to personalize it. Iva will show you how to add rich textures and layers of paint to build your mermaid's palace. Also, you will learn how to lavishly furnish it with faux pearls, seashells, glitter and gold, coral, sea fans and a sandy floor. Can you hear the siren song beckoning?
