Special Screening of Award-Winning Documentary BAG IT

Award-winning film Bag It, a touching and often funny documentary about how we use and abuse plastic, is the featured film to be screened on  WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2011 7PM SAN RAMON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER 501 DANVILLE BLVD. DANVILLE, CA 94526

San Ramon Valley High School Environmental Club (E2), Sustainable Danville Area and The Sierra Club come together to raise awareness of the impact of single-use plastics, like water bottles and plastic bags, on our community.

$5 suggested donation benefits the San Ramon Valley High School Environmental Club (E2) Collegiate Scholarship.  The scholarship will be awarded for a second year in June 2012 to a graduating SRVHS student that has demonstrated their commitment to the environment through action in our community.

Join the Near-Zero Waste Pre-show (Activities begin at 6pm):

- Weather permitting, we’ll gather in front of the theatre for snacks and games. 

-  Test your recycling knowledge and become a star and win cool prizes.

-  Learn how to protect our creeks and water resources.

-  See worm composting in action and take a tour the school’s organic and     drought tolerant planting beds.

Jules Thin Crust Pizza , a Danville Area Sustainable Business will be on hand with samples of their delicious, organic thin crust pies. 

Please bring a friend - and a re-usable bottle for beverages.
