FBI Special Agent To Speak At Danville 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

FBI Special Agent John F. Bennett was involved in investigating the 2001 attack.

DANVILLE, CA — An annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the All Wars Memorial at Danville's Oak Hill Park returns, and this year will include keynote speaker FBI Special Agent John F. Bennett.

Bennett, who is currently in charge of the FBI's San Francisco Division, was in the New Jersey FBI building across from the World Trade Towers on Sept. 11, 2001. He was immediately involved in investigating the New York City attack.

The upcoming one-hour Remembrance Ceremony takes place Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. The event is being hosted by the Town of Danville, Exchange Club of the San Ramon Valley, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, PG&E, Alamo Safeway, AT&T, Hot Summer Sundays, and Graham-Hitch Cremation and Memorial Center, and ENGEO. It is free an open to the public.

Many local dignitaries are planning to be in attendance, along with the Monte Vista High School Choir and local scout groups.

Following the event, free ice cream will be served to participants.
