Friendship Benches Promote Kindness At Danville Elementary School

DANVILLE, CA — Three new benches with a very special purpose will soon be installed at a Danville elementary school. A Plus Trees donated the "friendship benches" to John F. Baldwin Elementary School and once installed, students who feel lonely or are having a rough day can sit on them. Other students can join them or invite them to play, according to one of the parents on the school’s Serve Team.

Students decorated the friendship benches with their handprints and positive messages. Once the benches are sealed, they will be put in place on the playground.
