Hey, College Kids: No Shenanigans Tonight In Danville!

Law enforcement is upping patrols for the evening before Thanksgiving, dubbed "College Night."

DANVILLE, CA – The Danville Police Department today reminded residents -- namely university students home for Thanksgiving break -- that extra officers will be out and about in the community this evening to keep an eye on the annual "College Night" activities.

"College Night has become an annual tradition where returning college students come downtown and enjoy reconnecting on the night before Thanksgiving," officials said. "Oftentimes, this can also lead to partying at area drinking establishments, so the Danville Police Department details extra patrols to make sure everyone gets home safely."

Officers will patrol on foot, as well as being deployed on extra duty throughout town, the agency said, adding that normal police services will not be affected.
