High School Football Recap

Here are the scores for the local high school football games in the region tonight.

De La Salle 40  San Ramon Valley 3

De La Salle High proved their are still the class of Northern California by thumping San Ramon Valley High, 40-3.

The Spartans jumped out to a 14-0 in the first quarter. They lengthened their margin to 34-3 at half and cruised to victory.

De La Salle is now 7-1 overall and 5-0 in league play.

The Wolves had won six in a row coming into the game. They are now 6-2 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Granada 26  California 22 

Granada High scored a touchdown with 28 seconds left in the game to upset California High, 26-22.

Granada held a 19-7 lead at halftime, but California rallied to take a 22-19 lead in the fourth quarter before the Matadors scored their last-minute touchdown.

Granada had lost four in a row coming into the game, although three of those defeats were close games. They are now 3-5 overall and 1-4 in league play.

California falls to 6-2 and 3-2 in league play.

Monte Vista 27  Amador Valley 0

Monte Vista High scored early and often to defeat Amador Valley High, 27-0.

Monte Vista took a 21-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. They lengthened their margin to 27-0 in the third quarter.

The Mustangs are now 4-4 overall and 3-2 in league play.

The Dons fall to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.
